Absent Element Guild Info

Some basic information on the guild setup, etc.

In-depth look at guild statistics

We could spend hours and hours coding a custom application to list and sort guild data, but the WoW Armory does it better than we ever could... and besides, who wants to spend all day coding when we could be raiding?

Guild Ranking

Absent Element has its own ranking system in place and is listed below. Promotions and demotions occur by ones helpfulness and commitment to the guild. Promos are given when earned and may take some time so don’t think it will happen over night or by helping out one time. This way, when a promo is handed out it should be well deserved and recognized.

  • Initiate - A rank for new members: This rank is a looked at as a trial rank to see if the player is a good fit.
  • Crusader - This rank is for all standard members who haven proven themselves as being a worthy player.
  • Honor Guard - A rank to resemble a player who has gone above and beyond a normal member with a long standing commitment to the guild.
  • Raider Initiate - A player who desires to raid with the guild and understands the gear and attendance requirements.
  • Raider - A member of the raiding group who meets gear requirements and understands the current raiding schedule.
  • Champion - The Highest rank a non officer can achieve. A Champion rank is only handed to those who have proven themselves as a key part to the guild and show leadership qualities through actions. Constant commitment and helpfulness can earn you this title.
  • Advocate – Look at one with this rank as a supervisor to the guild. This rank is only given to those who have proven themselves as being an absolute key part of the guild and can be looked at as Class leader or role model. Advocates have direct communication to the Guild Master (GM) and Officers at all times and can recruit future members.
  • Officer - This rank is very similar to an Advocate rank and can be looked at more like upper management. Officers are without a doubt class leaders but also have some extra duties to help manage the guild like scheduling events, HR management, setting rules & policies, contests etc.
  • Raid LEader: Diego - Leads the raids
  • CGO (Chief Guild Officer): Diego - Assists with full administrative duties of the guild, Recruiting, Rule Implementation / Creation,  Networking, HR, Forum Moderation etc.
  • Guild Master (GM) - full administrative duties of the guild, Recruiting, Rule Implementation / Creation,  Networking, HR, Forum Moderation etc.

Guild Bank

At this moment AE has a guild bank character in place, which goes by the name Calimos. The Guild bank is currently used and managed by the GM who distributes items through out the guild for those who could benefit from them. Items of interest would be BOE gear, mats and quest items.

In the near future the guild bank will change for the better. Blizzard recently stated that they are working on a Guild Bank feature to where members can deposit and withdraw items very similar to the normal personal bank in which we all use currently. Calimos will be in place until the release of the new patch.

Team Speak (Voice Chat)

Team Speak (TS) is available at all times but it does require a headset w/ microphone. If you do not have Team Speak software it can be downloaded here

Team Speak is a great way to increase communication during dungeon runs and quests as it will eliminate all typing. Once you have the software downloaded you will need to get access to the Absent Element Server. This information can be given to you once you whisper an officer or GM of the guild. From there they will give you the server name, address, login and password.
